Barcelona To Sign Liverpool's Georginio Wijnaldum On A Three-Year Deal

Barcelona and Liverpool are on the verge of agreeing a deal over Georginio Wijnaldum, Italia journalist Fabrizo Romano disclosed this information via his Twitter account. The deal is expected to be completed soon as the players' agent Humphry Nijman is in Barcelona to meet with Barça Officials. See his tweets below, 



Regarding his above tweet, Georginio Wijnaldum will leave Anfield side if the deal eventually scales through. Recall the30 year old  Netherlands midfielder was signed by Liverpool on July 22, 2016, his contract is due to expire June 30th 2021.


By and large,  the mid-field maestro really lived up to expectation as he helped marshalled the red's defense in most games played in the premiership and the Champions League. To add to his accolades, winning the long awaiting Champions League and the premiership trophies with the reds in 2018 - 2019 season could have been all he ever wanted from Liverpool.

The player is currently a free agent  and Barça has intensified effort to lure the attacking midfielder to Spain. The deal could be sealed in a matter of moment, and Georginio Wijnaldum may have played his last game for the reds after helping his club beat crystal palace at the weekend, the victory ensures Liverpool qualifies to play in the Champions League next summer.
