Transfer News:Liverpool FC To Sign Ibrahima Konate On A Five-Year Deal

Liverpool is on the verge of completing the signing of French footballer Ibrahima Konate from RB Leipzig, the Italian football journalist Fabrizo Romano revealed this development via his Twitter handle @fabrizioRomano. See his tweet about the transfer,

The deal regarding the transfer of Ibrahima Konate to Liverpool is almost done and dusted if reports via his account is anything to go by. The France under 21 international has been a main stay at RB Leipzig center back this summer, he has made 65 appearance since joining them in 2017 and two goals to his credit in all competition.

The reds are seeking to replace Georginio Wijnaldum who is on the verge of joining the Catalan giant Barça on a free transfer. Ibrahima Konate addition to their dept will definitely fill the gap created by the Dutch man.RB Leipzig finished second in the German top division with 65 point, only thirteen points separates them from the eventual winner Bayern Munich.

Ibrahima Konate departure may somewhat deplete their squad dept, but do not take anything away from RB Leipzig management, as they will not rest on their oars to bring another perfect replacement before new season commence. There is need to strengthen the team in order to look set to compete both in the domestic league and Champions League.
