 Pastor Joshua Obong Laments As FG Demolished Churches, Mosque, And Markets



The quest to harmonize Urban cities and eradicate illegal structures lies in the hands of federal and state Government to carry out. Urban cities and suburbs does have a master plan, but many landowners and investors have defiled this plan just to erect their building.


However, Punch metro is reporting that  The Lagos state Government has taken the boo by horn to demolish illegal structures and buildings situated long FESTAC and second Avenue of Lagos state.


According to punched on 15th of June, 12 churches, a mosque, and market were demolished by the federal housing authority on the ground that that were illegally build. Information has it that FG has previously notified them of the action they may take soon, but it looks like they ignored it and tried seeking redress in the court.


In regard to this, The founder of the Gate of Righteousness Evangelical International Church, Pastor Joshua Obong has lamented over FG recent action. His church was among the twelve demolished church, he berated the Lagos state Government for bringing down his 18 years old church in a twinkle of an eye.

The pastor was very furious with the way and manner his church was enlisted for demolition, he reiterated that the seven days ultimatum given to them wasn't enough to wrap their mind and fizzle how to solve the problem.
